This French manufacturer began to develop automotive production on September 26, 1810, and always spawned innovative products, both two-wheeled and four-wheeled vehicles.
It’s no wonder that on September 24, 2020, Peugeot Global presents the highly innovative Peugeot 508 PSE the result of research and development on hybrid engine technology.
PSE is an acronym for Peugeot Sport Engineered, a division of Peugeot that develops high-performance Peugeot cars.
The presence of the Peugeot 508 PSE also announces the return of Peugeot in the World Endurance Championship (WEC) at Le Mans Hypercar (LMH) starting in 2022. The Peugeot 508 PSE comes as a family car in the sedan and station wagon or SW type.
PHEV engine
As mentioned above, the Peugeot 508 PSE engine uses a hybrid technology whose battery can be charged or known as a Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV).
The power produced by the Peugeot 508 PSE engine reaches 360 horsepower with a maximum torque of 520 Nm. This car grabs instant and responsive power so that it can devour 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in just 5.2 seconds.
This figure is quite impressive for a family car of the sedan and station wagon types.
Given that it has not been mass-produced, there is still little information about the innards of the engine used by Peugeot on this Peugeout 508 PSE. Later, mass production will be carried out in Mulhouse, France.
From the official Peugeot statement, this four-wheel drive car is powered by a combustion engine with two electric motors at the front and rear of the car. The traction force offered is even more optimal.

For both sedans and station wagons, the Peugeot 508 PSE has a special color known as Selenium Gray with a few bright green touches which signifies an environmentally friendly car.
