Electric Car, Gnewscar.com – The United States automotive company, Ford Motor Company plans to present a large-scale Electric Vehicle (EV) in the country. Production will be held in Tennessee and Kentucky.
Both factories will produce the next-generation electric-powered F-Series trucks. These include the Ford F-150 EV, as well as electric car batteries. The Ford Motor Company said in a statement that Ford plans to make its largest investment in the United States in electric vehicles with partner SK Innovation.
This investment reached 11.4 billion United States (US) dollars or equivalent to Rp. 162.5 trillion. The project helped create nearly 11,000 new jobs at the Tennessee and Kentucky mega-sites. A new $5.6 billion mega campus located in Stanton, Tennessee, called Blue Oval City, will create about 6,000 new jobs. Ready to produce electric cars and batteries.

While in Kentucky, Ford plans to build a dedicated battery manufacturing complex with SK Innovation, called BlueOvalSK Battery Park, for $5.8 billion. A total of 5,000 workers will be absorbed. The twin battery plants at this location will supply Ford Motor Company’s North American assembly plant with locally assembled batteries. Mainly products with Ford and Lincoln brands.
“This is a transformative moment in which Ford will lead America’s transition to electric vehicles and usher in a new era of clean and carbon-neutral manufacturing,” said Ford Motor Company Chief Executive Bill Ford.
