2023 Audi A4 Release Date, German luxury car maker Audi has confirmed that it will launch its next-generation Audi A4 with a series of new powertrains in 2023.
Auto Express reported Wednesday that most variants of the Audi A4 will be powered by the VW Group’s EA888 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine.
It is reported that VW is currently developing a turbine in the variable section inside the turbocharger that promises to improve throttle response at low speeds while producing higher overall power output.
Audi’s head of technical development, Oliver Hoffman, has also confirmed that the new A4 will offer more electrification options. It will include the new 48-volt mild hybrid technology, while the plug-in hybrid version will use a larger battery mounted on the rear axle.
Later, the new vehicle from Audi will have the same 14.4 kWh battery pack as the plug-in hybrid Q5. In addition, although many manufacturers avoid it, the new A4 should also be available with a diesel engine.
An electric version of the next generation A4 is also possible. When asked about such a model, Hoffman commented on Audi’s access to VW Group’s electric PPE and MEB platforms.
