Important Components to Check When Tune Up Your Car

For those of you who own four-wheeled vehicles, of course, you are familiar with the term car. In all people needing care needs care also the car also needs maintenance. This is none other than so that the vehicle can work optimally. This is known as a tune up.

What Is A Car Tune Up

Tune up on a car is an activity or activity that you must do as a routine action to carry out maintenance of the four-wheeled vehicle. Tune up is a car maintenance activity that is scheduled regularly (usually once a year).

If you can ensure that the car has received regular maintenance and prevention of obsolescence, it will help in maintaining the car’s performance and being able to extend the life of the car. In general, a car tune up can be said to be a matter of replacing auto parts or spare parts on a regular basis.

The spare parts in question include replacement of the air filter, replacement and cleaning of spark plugs, replacement of distributor caps and rotors. In addition, tune-ups can also include replacement of spark plug wires, fuel filters, PCV valves and oxygen sensors.

Tune Up objectives

Tune-ups are not solely done for the protection of vehicle facilities. However, the tune up has several purposes which include:

  • To restore vehicle performance to make it look like new.
  • To prevent the occurrence of various damages that occur to the vehicle.
  • To check or control some of the components in your vehicle, whether they still look healthy or must be replaced immediately.

Tune Up and Servicing Differences

Perhaps you are wondering what the difference between a tune up and a normal four-wheeler service is. Or doesn’t the regular service include a tune up? Basically, tune-ups are done when you regularly service or maintain your vehicle to the repair shop. however, tune-up and servicing are distinctly different.

Between tune-up and service there are striking differences. Car tuning has a much greater variety of jobs than normal car servicing. Therefore, it is not surprising that the tune-up has a higher time and cost than servicing ordinary four-wheeled vehicles.

So, ordinary four-wheeled vehicle service only includes or is limited to a few parts such as checking the air filter, checking fluid, checking the injection system to checking the parts in the engine (without doing more disassembly of the vehicle).

Another case with tune-ups, these activities include not only a few parts but a more complete series of maintenance activities to the inside of the vehicle’s engine as well as the valve parts of the vehicle.
